  • Can I get items from other libraries?

    Yes! You can get books sent to your preferred library for pickup from any other Georgia Pines library. Media items such as DVDs, games, and audiobooks cannot be sent between library systems, however, media items owned by Dougherty County can be requested for pickup at any Lee County library. Newly released items cannot be sent between libraries for a period of 6 months after release. You can visit www.gapines.org to lookup items and place them on hold.
  • Where can I return my items?

    You can return items checked out to any Georgia Pines library and those items will be sent back to the owning branch. You can visit http://www.georgialibraries.org/directories/publiclibdir.php for a full directory of all the Georgia Pines libraries.
  • How many DVDs can I check out at a time?

    You can have a total of 15 DVDs out on your card at a time.
  • Can I renew items online or over the phone?

    Yes! You can renew your items both online and over the phone. When renewing over the phone, all you will need is your library card number. To renew online, just visit www.gapines.org and log in with your library card number and your PIN.
  • Is my personal information, i.e. passwords and saved documents, stored on the public library computers after usage?

    No! Information entered or saved on the public library computers is erased upon logout.
  • Can I use my laptop computer at the library?

    Yes! All branches of the Lee County Library have wireless internet access. The password is available at the front desk.
  • Can I register to vote at the library?

    Yes! Voter Registration forms are available at each library facility.
